Regional Site Director(s) for SACC

POSITION:	Full Time Regional Site Director(s) for School Age Child Care (10 1/2 months)
LOCATION:	Based at SCOPE Administration Office in Smithtown and Syosset. Travel to sites in Nassau and/or Suffolk Counties
START DATE:	Immediate
RESPONSIBILITIES:	Performs all duties and responsibilities of Site Director, Assistant Director and/or Group Leader at program site during their absence. Supervises children (PreK-6) to maintain a safe environment. Ensures compliance with all SCOPE policies and procedures and OCFS Regulations.
REQUIREMENTS:	18 credits in either child development, elementary education, physical education, recreation or related field and three years direct experience working with children under the age of 13, including one year supervising adults. Possess valid driver’s license and own transportation for travel to program locations in Nassau and Suffolk County. Must be able to pass a fingerprint and background clearance check. Successfully complete a physical examination by a medical doctor. Must be willing to complete certification in First Aid/CPR and Medication Administration Training (training will be provided).
SALARY:	$32.46/hour plus benefits and mileage. 30 hours per week. Approximate hours: 7:00-9:00am and 2:30-6:30pm.

Group Leader

POSITION:	Group Leader
LOCATION:	Various locations in Nassau and Suffolk County Elementary Schools.
START DATE:	Immediate
RESPONSIBILITIES:	Reports to the program supervisor, assists supervisor in daily operation of the child care program including but not limited to: supervision of children, implementation of daily activities, program planning, implementation of behavior management.
REQUIREMENTS:	High School Diploma or its equivalent is preferred. Candidates without a high school diploma will be considered if they have at least one year of experience working with children under the age of 13.
SALARY:	$17.00/hour

POSITION:	Small Group Leader (1:1)
LOCATION:	Various locations in Nassau and Suffolk County Elementary Schools

RESPONSIBILITIES:	Implements a daily schedule and assists student with special needs to participate in planned program activities
REQUIREMENTS:	High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Candidates without a high school diploma will be considered if they have at least one year of experience working with children under the age of 13. Experience working with children with special needs is preferred.
SALARY:	$18.15 per hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:	Reports to the program supervisor, assists supervisor in daily operation of the child care program including but not limited to: supervision of children, implementation of daily activities, program planning, and implementation of behavior management. May be required to assume supervisor responsibilities in the absence of supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:	Two years of college with 18 credits in Early Childhood Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field and two years experience working with children under the age of 13 is preferred or high school diploma with five years direct experience working with children under the age of 13.
SALARY:	$19.15 per hour

POSITION:	Site Director: Before/After School Child Care

RESPONSIBILITIES:	Directs and oversees all staff and activities at the program site including but not limited to the supervision of children (K-5), supervision and evaluation of program staff, payroll reporting, communication with parents, record keeping, ordering and inventory maintenance, and staff training and development.
REQUIREMENTS:	Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development, Elementary or Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field. Alternatively, two years of college with 18 credits in Early Childhood Development, Elementary or Physical Education, Recreation or a related field. Must also have two years of experience working with children under the age of 13, including one year in a supervisory capacity.
SALARY:	$29.90 per hour

POSITION:	Substitute Teacher(s) for Pre-School & UPK Programs – Part Time
LOCATION:	Various Nassau and Suffolk County locations
REQUIREMENTS:	Valid NYS Certification, B-2. Early Childhood experience preferred. Valid driver’s license and own transportation for travel to various program locations in Nassau and Suffolk County.
HOURS:	AM only – 3 hours/day; PM only – 3 hours/day. Can work both AM & PM schedule. Program hours vary according to location.
SALARY:	$160.00 per diem
