Striving for an Inclusive Workplace (Episode 005)

This episode of the podcast is based Dr. John Coverdale’s field article, “Striving for an Inclusive Workplace,” which is a product of Dr. Coverdale’s notable experience in matters of equity, diversity and social justice. In it, he offers an understanding about the intersectionality of these perspectives and guidelines for educational leaders to embed in their policy-making and hiring practices. In addition, he points out some essential facts about the lack of diversity in the school district workforce in New York, and outlines an array of steps school leaders can take to sustain a more diverse workforce that better reflects the diversity within society and in their schools.
